Description
The Mayor of Bath headed appeals for funds for a wide variety of causes. Some appeals were for disasters - local, national or international - others for funds to receive visiting dignitaries or groups or to make presentations to prominent people. Some appeals created a large amount of records, others simply one or two items. It is not clear how these records were originally kept, but at some stage they were collected together and arranged in date order. This order has for the most part been kept.
