Description

Mrs Bryar was the widow of Mr Charles Bryar, Deputy Magistrates Clerk, Ashcott, Swainswick. Mr Bryar died on 11 June 1874 leaving effects under £450.
When Charles died they had four children: William C Bryar (aged 9), Rosabelle M E Bryar (aged 7), Guy C M Bryar (aged 5), Archibald A Bryar (aged 3).
By the time of the 1881 Census, Archibald was in the Infant Orphan Asylum, Wanstead, West Ham, Essex.
