Description: This register seems to have been used for a variety of administrative purposes, including transfer in and out of the district, summaries of totals, and newcomers to the district (who seem to have been personally visited). Section 8 is 'Motors registered under the Motor Car Act 1903' giving owner, registration number, and weight, but no other details. Sales of cars by garages are included in Section 4, along with livery stables letting carriages. Section 5 is 'Persons Furnishing Servants for Hire', but only gives name of hirer, not servants, and all seem to be coachmen.
