Description
Side B of the first audio cassette in a collection of eight, which record Ron A. W. Perry’s memoirs entitled ‘The Way It Was’. The information written on the case of the tape outlines that Ron started this pilot taping in 1992.

Side B is 00:45:43 long and Ron’s voice comes in straight away. The themes explored on Side B are: education and Ron’s time spent at Walcot School, Walcot Street; his experiences as an apprenticeship at Pierrepont Garage, Manvers Street; and how he spent his teenage years socialising with friends, attending dances at the Pump Rooms and the Assembly Rooms.
At 00:43:23 instrumental music, the type which would have played at a dance, cuts in and continues to the end of the cassette.
