Includes correspondence regarding alterations to the facade of 77 Pulteney Street, Bath. A damaged, dangerous pediment was removed, a roof level survey by the City Planning office was filed but the building owner declined to reinstate the pediment. The building owner appealed the Bath Council's refusal to consent to their proposed alterations and a formal hearing at the Town Planning Inquiry took place on 3 December 1953.

File also includes a list of buildings owned by the Bathwick Estate Company, correspondence regarding the assistance of The Georgian Group, the Bath Preservation Trust, and the Bath Group of Architects in support of the Council; photographs of nearby pediments at 20 and 40 Pulteney Street, and a report by the City Planning Officer of external architectural embellishments on Pulteney Street and adjacent streets, dated 20 December 1952.
