Description
The plans, by Spackman & Sons, include one detailing the properties 1 and 2 High Street, 3 Orange Grove, the Abbey Hotel, and the Tap Room, all of which were later demolished to make way for the Guildhall extension. This plan has been annotated in red with dates of the leases and rental amounts. The other plan details lots for sale in Highbury Terrace and Snow Hill. The properties were auctioned by Messrs Powell & Powell who had received instruction from Messrs Cumberland & Green of the Limpley Stoke Brewery, who had recently sold their entire business to the Bath Brewery Limited. Together with a letter from the Bristol Solicitor W. E Perham to John Stone giving details of the rents and lease dates for the properties in High Street and Orange Grove.
