Description
1. Thomas Pycroft of Grosvenor Place, Walcot, Esq.
2. Thomas Shew of Grosvenor Place, Esq.

Whereas Thomas Shew possesses leasehold premises adjoining the River Avon on the north side thereof, and the said Thomas Pycroft possesses freehold lands on the opposite or south side of the river Avon in the parish of Bathampton, and Thomas Shew has in contemplation the creation of a Toll Subscription Bridge on and from his piece of land accross the River Avon has sometime since agreed with Thomas Pycroft for the purchase by Demise for 1000 years of the piece of ground hereinafter mentioned, and the right of way over and through other parts of the land of Thomas Pycroft, and the lands of Mrs Dorcas Charmbury, George Edward Allen, Esq., the Duke of Cleveland, and others as Thomas Pycroft lawfully held; for the sum of £100 and £10 per annum, and the right of way to and over the said intended bridge to Thomas Pycroft and the several other persons herein named.

Piece of land part of a piece of ground called Wantlands, parish of Bathampton, containing in length from north to south 50 feet, and in width from east to west 20 feet, bounded on the north by the River Avon, on the south and west by lands of the said Thomas Pycroft, and on the east by a field of Mrs Dorcas Charmbury; and a right of way for all people or beasts or carriages over the lane or way of 18 feet 6 inches wide and 360 feet 6 inches in length from north to south; from 1. to 2. for 1000 years.
