Title
Arlington House, Stall Street, Westgate Street and Bath Street, Bath.
Description
This entire block has been rebuilt in the 1960s and 1980s. Originally it was the site of the White Hart Inn and numerous other public houses and buildings, with several lanes and a courtyard within. The majority of the block was demolished in 1867 and replaced by the Grand Pump Room Hotel and the Royal Baths. This was replaced by Arlington House in the 1950s, though the offices between Cross Bath and Bath Street remained. A fire in the 1980s meant the Royal Baths and the offices on Cross Bath Street were demolished - the facade on Bath Street survived - and the current building erected.
