Description
John Furman, Stationer, of the Inner Temple, London, was paid to list and investigate the Council's records in 1775-1777 in relation to the Council's legal dispute with the parish of St Michael. He created a schedule of deeds and other documents which was written up in a large volume. Some manuscript additions were made later.

The volume contains detailed lists of the following sets of documents:

1. Counterpart leases, now catalogued as BC/6/2/3, with an index of the names of the lessees and an index of places.
2. Counterpart leases from Sherston and Sachefield
3. Charters issued to Bath Corporation, and pardons
4. Latin deeds, exclusive of the series now catalogued as BC/6/2/1
5. Bundles of counterpart leases relating to particular titles with an index to names
6. Building leases with indexes to grantees and places
7. Original leases from the Corporation supposed to be surrendered with an index to names
8. Releases conveyances and assignments Under Leases from Tenants of the Corporation etc. Leases from other lessors than the corporation, bonds etc. Also some Deeds from the Corporation with an index to the names of the grantors and assignors.
9. A schedule of the Council books, survey book and book of bye laws of the Corporation of Bath
