Description
Two copies of a draft Brief for the Rev. Stafford Smith of Queen Square, Bath, "gentleman of fortune", plaintiff, against Mary Stallard, Mary Russ, Mary White, employed in Bath as cinder and rubbish pickers, defendants, accused of stealing a pie and a silver dish.
Together with the written confession of Stallard, Russ and White and a witness statement taken from William Feltham, Bath, butler to the plaintiff; Thomas Rundell of Bath, chairman; and George Vincent of Bath, tytheman. Included are scrap notes which include lists of expenditure.
