Description
This committee dealt with the Council's responsibilities under various Housing Acts, from the Housing of the Working Classes Act of 1890 onwards. The name of the committee changed from Housing of the Working Classes to Housing between the 11 October 1921 and the 28 November 1921.

The committee reported to the Council acting as Urban Sanitary Authority until 1905.

The last meeting of the committee was in September 1968. Its functions passed to the Estates committee in October 1968.

From 1949, the minutes contain a small amount of sensitive information on named individuals. Access to these minutes is restricted under UK Data Protection Law
