Description
Printed booklet with photographic illustrations of the rooms pasted in and including a lecture by Horace Annesley Vachell given on 16 October 1938 and an essay by Reginald W. M. Wright. Together with a printed card Notice advertising a Hospital Ball to be held the night before the official opening, with an illustration of the rear view of the proposed new hospital. The Assembly Rooms were opened by H.R.H. the Duchess of Kent who presented the Ball in aid of the rebuilding fund of the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Disease which was held on the 18 October 1938. The Notice includes a view of the rear of the proposed new hospital.
