Whereas [half of] the share of James Broom of and in the lands and premises as in the indenture of lease of 25 March 1790, and rents arising from underleases thereof, became vested by way of his last will and testament in John English, city of Bath, Gent., in trust for William Broom.

Whereas default was made in repayment of the said debt, Sarah Back's interest in the said 1/8 share became absolute at law.

Thomas Savage Whereas William Broom had then to pay one Thomas Andrews the sum of £1100, he had applied to Thomas Savage to lend him the same upon security 1/8 share of William Broom of and in lands and premises as in the lease of 25 March 1790, and the mortgage of 19 June 1821. Consideration: £1100
Whereas default was made in repayment of the said debt, Thomas Savage's interest in the said 1/8 share became absolute at law.
Whereas William Broom on the 24 April 1823 became bankrupt, a commission of bankrupt being awarded against him, his personal estate being assigned to Henry Hayman. And by an Assignment of 16 May 1823 his estate was assigned from Henry Hayman to William Dore, James Keeling, and Robert Simpson in trust for themselves and the other creditors of William Broom. Whereas, William Dore having become a bankrupt, all the personal estate of William Broom was assigned on 1 June 1826, to James Keeling, Robert Simpson, and George Lane. Whereas the whole of the aforesaid sum of £580 due to Sarah Back is still due and owing, and the sum of £518, part of £1100 due to Thomas Savage, is also due and owing, but all interest thereon has been paid. Whereas James Keeling, Robert Simpson, and George Lane with the consent and agreement of Sarah Back, Thomas Savage, William Broom and the other creditors of William Broom have agreed with Dame Martha Rivers Gay for the absolute sale to her of the one eighth share of and in the lands and premises.
1/8 part or share of William Broom of and in lands and premises as in the indenture of 25 March 1790, from the parties of 1., 2., 3., 4., and 5. to 7. intrust for 6.
Consideration: £580 from 6. to 2., and £518 from 6. to 3., as full discharge and satisfaction of the aforesaid principle sums due to them. And £567 residue of the purchase money to 4. from 6.
