Material which was collected or created by the Bath Record Office in the course of researching the background to the Langton family papers held by the Record Office (0770).

There are four types of material:
1. Notes on the family history of the Langtons, discovered mainly through standard family history sources.
2. Copies of records relating to the Langton family held by other repositories.
3. Transcriptions of all the letters in the Langton collection.
3. Academic papers which use the Langton papers as the source for an accounting history case-study.

This collected material has been kept together and is catalogued as a useful resource for researchers interested in the Langtons.
