Description
Unpublished account of the nurse training undertaken by Selina Cleveland (nee Bevan) at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) between 1931 and 1934. She initially worked at the Beau Street building (later Bath Technical College/City of Bath College) in the centre of Bath where the hospital was originally sited and was then one of the first nursing staff to enter the new hospital opened at Combe Park in 1932. Contains detailed descriptions of the lives of the staff and patients on the hospital wards and of the medical practices carried out there
