Photocopies of the following two articles relating to silversmith Philip Rundell which appeared in The Silver Society Journal, 2 (Winter 1991), 'A man who never was' by Sarah Tanner, pp. 89-90 and 'A devoted attention to business: An obituary of Philip Rundell' by John Culme, pp. 91-102. Philip Rundell, silver manufacturer of Ludgate Hill, whose family came from Norton St. Philip, was educated at Bath and apprenticed there to a Mr Rogers, jeweller and goldsmith. Several branches of the family settled in Bath (including Philip's brothers, surgeons Thomas and Francis) and were leading members of the city corporation.
