Small collection of photocopied material relating to stage coaches; contains 51 pages of 'The early Years of Stage Coaching on the Bath Road told by the original notices' compiled by William A. Webb (1922) with a copy of a covering letter by the author, some handwritten material relating to Bath Chronicle entries in the 1780s, a list of public carriages which set out from The White Hart Inn (n.d.), typewritten transcript of a coaching notice from The White Hart by Moses Pickwick dated 1830, an advertisement for daily fly-waggons to London and Bristol which set out from Edward Mitchells Warehouse, Saw-Close, Bath (n.d.) and a newspaper cutting relating to the 22nd congress of philatelists held in Bath because of its connections with the postal system.
