Description
A collection of material relating to Claverton Hospital donated by former nurse at the hospital Mrs Thelma Gosling which comprises the following:

1.) Photocopy of a short handwritten history of Claverton (Isolation) Hospital including the purchase of land to build it in 1876, a description of the layout of the original building and of the various staff roles.
2.) Bath District Hospitals Christmas Celebration Menu 1988 (menu for patients over the Christmas period)
3.) 'Claverton Hospital: a prime redevelopment opportunity' (sales brochure dated 1987 by Crisp Cowley, estate agent which contains a 'Conditions of Sales' sheet and a Claverton Down Hospital Site Brief.
4.) Photocopied pages from 'The History of Claverton, Bath' compiled by the Claverton Down Women's Institute dated 1962
5.) Photocopied pages from a 1934 booklet on Claverton Hospital showing plans and photographs of the building
6.) Newspaper cutting from the Bath and West Evening Chronicle (dated early 1989?) relating to a farewell party held at Claverton Down Hospital with the League of Friends just before its closure (with photograph of staff members and The League of Friends' President)
7.) Newspaper cutting from the Bath and West Evening Chronicle dated March 17th 1989 'Hospital scans a century of caring for sick' with photographs
8.) Photocopy of a page from the Bath and West Evening Chronicle dated Tuesday 21st February 'Heading for the hammer' comprising a brief history and photographs
