Booklet signed by the author. Contains transcripts of documents (copies of originals) in the Public Record Office (now National Archives) relating to Ralph Allen's Bye and Cross Posts (Postal system) comprising;

1) A letter from Allen to Henry Potts, the Secretary of the Post Office, enclosing some accounts of his undertaking.
2) A narrative of Mr Allen's transactions with the Government for the better management of the Bye way and cross-road Posts, from the year 1720-1762.
3) A letter of application to the Lords of the Treasury for the renewal of the "farm".
