Description
An article in The British Sundial Society Bulletin Volume 31 (iii) September 2019, pp. 27-32 on the Reverend Robert Essington (1818-1907), Vicar of Shenstone until 1895, who designed a number of sundials. The author argues that he was responsible for designing the Cross Dial in the Botanical Gardens, Bath. Essington rented a house at 19, Marlborough Buildings between 1895 and 1900. The following loose material is inserted between the front cover and first page: The British Sundial Society Newsletter No. 93, an information sheet for a BSS one-day meeting at Sutton Hall, Stockcrross, Newbury, a booking form for the BSS York Conference 24-26 April 2020 and an entry form for the BSS Photographic competition 2020.
