Description
Photocopies of local newspaper articles relating the history/life of 'Guinea-Pig Jack' whose real name Domenico/Dominic Conio (registered as Como on BathBMD). An Italian immigarant, he lived in a logding house in Avon Street for most of his time in Bath and was a well-known figure on the streets of the city with his performing guinea-pigs in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He died in 1907 and was buried in the Roman Catholic cemetery at Perrymead, Bath
