Photocopy of the original article from the Chapman pamphlets Volume 5. An account of an incident that occurred in 1836 when Mr William Pinch of Kingsmead Street sunk a bore hole intending to obtain cold water for his brewery but interfered with the hot spring water running into the Hot and Cross Baths and was therefore taken to court by Bath Corporation.
