Description: A history of the local delivery service of letters by the Bristol Penny Post which began in 1793, supplemented by two 5th Clause Posts and which lasted until 1840. This covered the area around Bristol right up to Kelston near Bath. At the front of the book, before the title pages, there is a hand-drawn diagram/map of places covered by the Bath Penny Post which overlapped the area covered by the Bristol Penny Post.
