Description: This study explores the hypothesis that the National Health Service, from its foundation in 1948, was secretly used by successive governments 'to bolster national morale in the event of a nuclear confrontation' suggesting that NHS staff 'were manipulated to front a psychological weapon that lasted for twenty years, but existed for no other purpose than to protect the British bomb'.
