Description
A history of the Quaker Cotterell family of Bath whose pedigree can be traced back to Warwickshire in the seventeenth century. Most of the history concentrates on the family's fortunes and activities in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and includes a section on Jacob Cotterell who produced the 1852-1853 large-scale maps of Bath with Henry Spackman (pp. 8-11). Also mentioned are the family's links with the Sturge family who were Quakers.
