Description: A survey carried out by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England with the aim of identifying organisations in England 'engaged in the making and holding of records of historic buildings.' Questionnaires were sent to a large variety of organisations including Bath City Council Conservation Section, Bath City Council Record Office and Bath Regional Buildings Record. Inserted in the front cover are one typewritten sheet, two leaflets produced by the RCHME ('The work of the Royal Commission' and 'Recording Threatened Buildings') and one acknowledgement postcard.
