Description
The folder contains Mayor's Guides' notes relating to a series of Second World War walks that took place in Bath in 2006, giving a general overview of the city's experience in preparation for, during and after the war, with particular emphasis on the bombing raids that took place in April 1942. It points out the bomb sites and damaged buildings that were repaired, rebuilt or demolished and also includes copies of photographs of bombed buildings such as Abbey Church House, the Assembly Rooms, Francis Hotel, Regina Hotel, Royal Crescent and St. Andrew's church on Julian Road ablaze after it had been hit.
