Awbry who wrote the Thomas the Tank Engine stories for children, Eleanora Brisbane whose son Sir Thomas Makdougall Brisbane gave his name to the city in Austrailia, William Farr MD, surgeon in the Royal Naval Hospitals, sisters Elizabeth, Anne and Mary Frowde (Mary being a close and devoted friend of Hannah More), Sir Joseph Dacre Appleby Gilpin, physician to the armed forces and Deputy Inspector of Regimental Hospitals, Charles Gee Jones who founded the Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners Society, John Kilvert, surgeon and uncle of the diarist Francis Kilvert, Charles La Touche, Captain in the Bombay Staff Corps killed in action in India in1867, Mary Lawrence, pew opener at the Bathwick churches for 68 years, John Pinch the Elder and Younger, Bath architects, Rev. H. M. Scarth (rector of Bathwick 1841-1871) an authority on Roman antiquities whose papers are held by BRLSI, Euclid Shaw, banker and flyboat operator, Sophia Wren, great granddaughter of Sir Christopher Wren, Dr Charles Hannings Wilkinson, surgeon, inventor, linguist, lecturer and Superintendant of the new Gasworks that opened in Bath in 1818, Mary Wynn nee Tubney, wife of William Wynn who in 1810 was knighted and appointed Governor of Sandown Fort on the Isle of Wight.
