Description

The local committees, of which the Mayor was chairman, seems to have been responsible for raising money, promoting the exhibitions locally, liaising with the London Executive committee, and selecting exhibitors from Bath who would send items for display in the exhibitions. Most of the minutes relate to the exhibition of 1851; only two meetings for the 1862 exhibition are recorded in the volume. It includes a final list of those exhibiting in 1851, with a list of prize-winners.
