Description
These General Correspondence files cover a significant span of time and include correspondence from individuals and organisations on a wide and varied range of matters.

Files 1-69, covering the period 1904-1938, were sent for paper salvage (recycled) in May 1942. The first surviving file is therefore BC/9/6/1/70.

From 1960, with a small number of exceptions, the general correspondence files are included with the engagement files for individual mayors (BC/9/6/3/94-142).
