Description: This book was made available in the Guildhall for people sign to show their loyalty to the King. Many people signed the book themselves, so that it contains a large number of different writing hands; however, in some cases a list of subscribers is written in the same handwriting, suggesting that these subscribers were unable to write or had been 'signed up' as a group (perhaps employees of the same master).
