Description
Bath was one of five towns chosen by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government in 1966 for a study into how the core areas of historic towns could be conserved within the needs of modern development. The City Council asked Colin Buchanan and Partners to carry out the study and produce the report, which was published by HMSO in 1968. The related papers include a copy of the speech made by Richard Crossman announcing the study, terms of reference for the study, and other papers.
