A transcription of the audio recording is available on request.

This audio recording begins with introductions from the panel and an overview of the agenda for the meeting and how proceedings will take place. It includes all the questions posed to the panel, with their detailed responses, and three statements. The voice of Jeremy Bennett, the Chairman for the meeting, breaks in mid-sentence, at 00:00:00.

The first question is asked by a Mr M. Macdonald at 00:06:59 and relates to the funding of the project.

The next question is from Honorary Alderman Miss Atwood who questions the timescale of the stabilisation works [00:11:47].

Then Mr Barclay asks about the legal basis of the use of pulverised fuel ash (PFA) [00:15:49].

The next question is from Mrs Jean Rendell regarding Wessex Waters concerns of pollution if PFA is used and who will be liable for recommending it [00:19:04].

Arthur Rendell then askes if funding is available for a non-PFA solution [00:22:07].

Finally, Mr Floyd asks whether the Department of the Environment guidelines have been used to decide the priority in which the mines should be tackled and raises concerns for the value of the houses on un-mined areas that are not going to be tackled [00:25:12].

The statements begin at 00:29:08 with County Councillor Willetts. His statement is followed by one from Mr P. Vass of the Combe Down Stone Mines Forum [00:36:12] and the recording ends at 00:47:21 with the speaker, Mr Golding, Headmaster at Prior Park College, mid-way through a sentence of his statement [see BC/7/10/1/1b for the rest of this statement].
