Description
A bundle of reports, letters, plans, and elevations relating to Manners & Gill's proposed design for a two story extension to the south side of the Guildhall, in front of the fish market, housing additional offices. The reports are addressed to the Borough Property and Market Committee and include costings for the two proposed plans, a detailed account of the need to improve the records room, objections to the designs by George Parfitt, the Bath City Surveyor, and Manner's response, together with a report by R. T. Gore (Chair of the Borough Property Market Committee) accepting Manners & Gill's 'Design No. 1'. George Manners was the City Architect from 1823 to 1862.
