These files were created by the former Avon County Council Estates department and transferred to Bath & North East Somerset Council after re-organisation in 1996. They relate principally to schools in the whole of the Bath & North East Somerset Council area (Avon County Council was responsible for all schools in the Avon area, including Bath, 1974-1996), and to agricultural holdings in the area outside of Bath City but within Bath & North East Somerset. Some files cover both management and maintenance, and some are simply maintenance or contract files. The files have not yet been catalogued in detail.
