1. George Smith, collector of tolls at the Claverton Toll gate, Bath
2. Thomas Evans, late of the parish of Lyncomb and Widcomb, labourer
2 accused of assulting 1 when asked to pay the toll for passing the gate on horseback.
The case was originally scheduled to be heard at Taunton on the 1st October 1810. Together with a letter to Philip George ?Senior from Williams and Bush of Trowbridge who were appointed to represent Evans in which they note that the Notices of Trial were not served in proper time. Also several papers relating to the case and a small group of papers listing expenses relating to the case
