Philip George junior acted on behalf of Mary Day, the mother of Samuel Skurray Day in drawing up the marriage settlement.

Samuel Skurray Day and Catherine Lister met at the Bath Assembly and married when she was not quite 17. The marriage proved unhappy, and she left him in 1813, and returned home to Gisburne, Yorkshire.
