Description: View looking north west along Whiteway Road from a point north of the junction of the Hollow with Whiteway Road. The detached cottage with the extension was known as Haycombe Stores, a general stores with many advertisements for cigarettes adoring the front garden. Children are seen walking towards the camera along the unimproved lane that was to become a major thoroughfare. The buildings on the skyline are a terrace of 4 houses, nos 53-63 Haycombe Drive. Nearer, in the foreground, is a prefab, No 24 Blagdon Park. Reverse: Pencil note 'S' with a faded stamp '639.' B&W
