Description
The southwest elevation of the derelict house known as 'Wood House 'built in 1838 for Charles Wilkins and designed by Edward Davis. later it became the home of the Carr family. It was demolished in 1965 andthe site was redeveloped as social housing. The foreground was originally the sweeping gravel drive to the entrance. The house sits amongst large mature parkland trees. Reverse ' Note in red pencil ' 1st Oct 1964' and in pencil '32'. B&W
