Description: A view from the junction of Walcot Street and Northgate Street over the proposed site of the Hilton Hotel during the site preparation stage. The site is open to the river bank although rubble from the demolitions is still evident. A crane and bulldozer are parked. Two cars, a Jaguar and a Morris Minor are parked in the foreground. The rear of Pulteney Bridge and the south end of Grove Street are exposed to view. A mature tree remains on the west bank of the river. On the reverse: a note in faded red felt-tip-'30-10-70'. B&W
