Union Street has cars parked and travelling in both directions at this time. Shop premises on the left include J. Lyons & Co. (Ltd.) and Boots (Ltd.) with a projecting sign and clock. On the west side of the street Colmer James (Ltd.) , drapers, outfitters and furniture warehousemen, premises dominate with a Lipton's Ltd., grocers at No. 3 near the corner with Westgate Street. Various shops have awnings deployed on a rainy day. B&W
