Description
A view of the crescent of Somerset Place, including the restored western end (Nos 5-7); the centrepiece (Nos 10 and 11) and part of the eastern range (Nos 12-15). The central symmetrical pair dominate with a 6-bay broken segmental pediment. The tympanum is carved with paterae in swags. The paired doors have Gibbs surrounds and icicle keystone masks. The centre pair step forward and are not curved as the wings. The first Reverse: Black ink note: 'Somerset Place - Bath'; pencil note ' 51/11' ; a faded stamp at bottom right' H.E. Stutchbury.
