Description: A view of the centre of the span of the most southerly of the two 'Chinoiserie' cast/wrought iron bridges across the canal leading from Sydney Gardens. This one features four identical ribs supporting the iron decking with one of the horizontal ties visible. At the centre of the arch is a projecting boss with the words ' Erected Anno 1800.' The balustrade visible above the arch has temporary wire netting affixed for safety reasons. B/W
