Description
A view of the Abbey Screen to the Abbey Churchyard (Thomas Baldwin, 1791) looking northeast from the site of the former Grand Pump Room Hotel. To the north of the screen is the premises of Frederick Tranter, the Pipe Shop and the rounded corner to Cheap Street is occupied by the Abbey Wine Vaults. The pedestrianisation of Stall Street is in its early stages. The former street surface is now equipped with public benches and planting containers. Reverse: Note in black felt tip pen: 'Oct 67' (written over pencil) 'Pump Room Building'. B/W
