Description: A view through the struts of the Windsor Bridge Road looking upstream to the South West Gas Board works with its pipebridge crossing the river to the south bank. The south bank is filled with associated industrial buildings, some overhanging the river. A tall brick chimney rising from the works dominates the centre of the view. On the front of the photograph is a paper label noting: 'South West Gas Board premises represent a very large area of land allocated for industrial purposes which may be surplus to their requirements'. On the reverse: a note in pencil-'3' in a circle. B/W
