The original straight weir is evident as is the east riverside with its broad, grassy bank: now reformed as part of the weir reconstruction works of 1973. Buildings on view from the left are: the Empire Hotel, the Victoria Gallery, Bridge Street, Pulktney Bridge and Argyle Street. In the mid-distance is The Paragon appearing over Pulteney Bridge with Camden Crescent and St Stephen's Church appearing over Argyle Street. B/W
