Description: A photograph of an architectural model of the proposed Sports and Leisure Centre to be sited at the north end of the Recreation Ground, close by the end of Johnstone Street. The model is photographed from a viewpoint at the south end of the recreation Ground, North Parade Road. The Empire Hotel is on the left over the roof of the the riverside Rugby Stand. Beyond the propsed building is Argyle Street, Laura Place, Johnstone Street and Great Pulteney Street. The massing of the Sports and Leisure Centre can be seen, with its entrance both from the riverside terrace as well as the Recreation Ground itself.
