Description
A photograph of the entrance to Royal Avenue and Royal Victoria Park from Queen's Parade Place, is a continuation of the war memorial (1923, Sir Reginald Blomfield). The design-rusticated stone piers, cornice and bronze lion forms a group with the Rivers Gate- original design by Edward Davis, 1830. Just beyond the gate is is a C19 Italian Carrara vase on a plinth. A male pedestrian is seen through the arch on the left. B/W
