Description
An architectural photograph taken in late afternoon of the sedan chair attendants' lodges after restoration. The wall connecting the two lodges has been replaced by two sweeping ramped walls on either side of the access way to the car park beyond. Black biro note at bottom:'SEDAN CHAIR HOUSES RESTORED 1971 QUEEN'S PARADE PLACE'. Reverse: Cropping instructions outlined in pencil. Note in black ink at top:'Sedan Chair Houses, Bath.View 3 (crossed out in pencil) After restoration.' Black biro written notes' These buildings were taken over by the Bath Corporation in the dilapidated condition as on the 'before' in order to preserve them.
