Description: A photograph of the scaffolding erected on the south side of the St James's Portico (John Wood the Elder c. 1745) before restoration. Below the scaffolding can be seen the capital of the Tuscan columns of Pierrepont Street. Two workers are inspecting the condition on the first level of the scaffolding. Reverse: Black biro note:' 13 & 14 Pierrepont Street. Rear wall of St James's Portico demolished before rebuilding. Feb 1975.' B/W
